January 17, 2025
09:00 am - 12:00 pm Pacific Time

Virtual Class

Number of Seats Available: 24

Having an anti-harassment policy or sexual harassment policy is not enough. Organizations are at risk if managers and employees are not trained to be sensitive to conduct that may be construed as harassment or creating a hostile work environment. Additionally, regular training in unlawful harassment prevention is one component that allows employers to use the powerful affirmative defense against claims of harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

Workplace Harassment Awareness aims to encourage mutual understanding, sensitivity, and respect among employees. The training is interactive, with group discussions and scenarios designed to help employees apply their knowledge. Instructors will present all content, including scenarios, with compassion and sensitivity to employees’ experiences.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define harassment, discrimination, and abusive conduct
  • Identify the negative effects of wrongful behavior
  • Effectively respond to incidents of harassment
  • Do their part in preventing, addressing, and correcting wrongful behavior in the workplace

Class Duration: 2 hours

For Managers and Supervisors

In addition to the content covered in the Workplace Harassment Awareness course, Workplace Harassment Awareness for Managers and Supervisors is specifically designed for those in leadership roles. It offers clear guidance on how to recognize and prevent harassment and explains a supervisor’s responsibilities in responding promptly and appropriately.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Know what to do when a complaint of harassment is received
  • List possible course of action if workplace harassment is suspected
  • List examples of supervisory behaviors that promote a safe and harmonious workplace environment
  • Explain the primary role of a supervisor during a harassment investigation

Class Duration: Additional 1 hour

Our live, instructor-led classes are designed for, and rely on, active participation to ensure a quality learning experience. Because of this, these sessions will not be paused and will not be recorded for future use or reference.
