This will help smaller organizations prepare for future growth.
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Determine the applicability of specific leave laws to the employer’s workplace.
- Identify triggers requiring the employer to communicate leave rights to an employee.
- Work effectively with employees and/or medical providers to confirm leave eligibility.
- Manage all required leaves effectively and efficiently, including pregnancy, domestic violence, and military family leave.
- Examine the nuances of the Americans with Disabilities Act and what is entailed in the “interactive process.”
- Identify strategies for preventing abuse of leave by employees.
- Describe the intersection between leave laws, including state-specific paid family and medical leave and FMLA.
Our live, instructor-led classes are designed for, and rely on, active participation to ensure a quality learning experience. Because of this, these sessions will not be paused and will not be recorded for future use or reference.
