Beginning January 1, 2020, family and medical leave will be available through a State administered plan to all employees in the State of Washington. Many more employees are eligible for leave under PFML than are eligible for FMLA. PFML can be taken to care for a broader number of family members.
In this Virtual CoffeeTalk, Erin Jacobson, Staff Counsel, and Joy Sturgis, HR Advisor, will review the legislation and the scope and content of the rules that the State is scheduled to roll out in April.
