Course Description

While employers can legally share their views on unions, they must follow certain rules. For example, an employer may explain why they prefer to stay non-union, but they must do so in a way that doesn’t feel threatening or coercive to employees.

Taught by an experienced labor attorney, this course helps executives, managers, and supervisors address unions in a legal and respectful manner. It also covers common workplace issues that can lead employees to unionize and steps for addressing those concerns.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how unions affect the workplace
  • Summarize employee relations best practices to prevent unions
  • Respond to union activity in a legal and strategic manner
