Course Description

The industrial insurance laws of Washington are very different than any other state. They are often very confusing and do not align with common logical assumptions. Understanding Workers’ Compensation and Controlling Costs addresses many common misconceptions and explains the law in non-legalese, user-friendly terms—in a format where open discussion is encouraged.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize key terms surrounding the Washington Workers’ Compensation Rating System.
  • Recognize and correct misconceptions about workers compensation in Washington.
  • Implement an effective return to work program based on their unique situation.
  • Conduct an injury investigation.
