This comprehensive program equips HR professionals with the skills needed to excel as an HR business partner. Participants will explore key HR areas in business skills, talent development and internal HR consulting roles so that upon completion, they will be well-prepared to excel in strategic HR roles.
The program consists of three full-day modules:
Module 1: In this first module, you will be introduced to the concepts that will be covered, review general and necessary business skills for an HR business partner, learn why and how to build a business case, and explore HR metrics that are key performance indicators and data analytics for informed decision-making.
After completing this module, participants will be able to:
Module 2: The role of the HRBP is absolutely critical to key people functions in all organizations. There are many facets to Talent Development, and the HRBP will often lead these efforts. The HRBP also plays a key role in strategic planning, to help match the people needs of the organization with whatever strategic initiatives are implemented. And lastly, in this module, implementing change in the organization is discussed and modeled, specific to the role of the HRBP.
After completing this module, participants will be able to:
Module 3: In the final module, we will tie it all together by working through what it means to be an “internal HR consultant” and a true HR business partner in your organization. We will work on several relationship-building skills such as conflict resolution, working towards collaboration, and your presentation skills. And finally, you will have an opportunity to finalize and present your business case to the class.
