Course Description

How can employers avoid becoming the target of litigation? Often, it depends on how they investigate complaints of discrimination, harassment, or other workplace misconduct. 

This class provides practical guidance for those responsible for investigating workplace complaints. Participants will learn how to run investigative interviews, write reports, and follow up based on their findings. It also focuses on the legal rights of everyone involved, helping ensure the process is fair and equitable for all.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify workplace conduct that triggers a duty to investigate
  • Conduct effective investigative interviews of witnesses to assess credibility
  • Document the investigation appropriately
  • Implement investigation findings and follow up on the issue post-investigation
